Success Story: Marty

Meet Marty

Hello, my name is Marty. I’m a six-year-old male Poodle, and my human and I are currently experiencing homelessness in the Los Angeles, CA area. Life on the streets can be tough, but one thing keeps us going – the incredible kindness we’ve encountered along the way.
Recently, I fell ill. I was congested and had flu-like symptoms that left me feeling miserable. My owner reached out to Feeding Pets of The Homeless for help. Thanks to their swift response, I was approved to see a veterinarian in our local area.
The vet’s examination revealed something worrying – a tumor that needed immediate attention. My heart sank at the news, but Feeding Pets of the Homeless didn’t hesitate. They stepped in to cover the costs of my surgery, ensuring that I received the care I desperately needed.
After undergoing diagnostics to ensure I was healthy enough for the procedure, I was given the green light for surgery. The next day, I went under the knife, with skilled hands working to remove the tumor that threatened my well-being. It was a scary time, but I emerged from surgery with a new lease on life.
Now, as I recover, I’m filled with gratitude. Thanks to the generosity of Feeding Pets of the Homeless and their donors, I can enjoy many more years by my owner’s side. Their contribution of $1232 towards my care not only saved my life but also provided hope in the midst of uncertainty.
