Feeding Pets of the Homeless is seeking a CPA to serve as Volunteer Board Treasurer for our national nonprofit. This is a unique opportunity to build governance and executive leadership experience while helping provide emergency veterinary care and food to pets of people experiencing homelessness.![]()
As Treasurer, you’ll work with our CFO and Board to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and long-term strategy. We meet quarterly (Zoom-friendly), and board members serve as ambassadors for our mission.![]()
Ideal for early- or mid-career CPAs interested in nonprofit leadership, board service, and expanding their professional network.![]()

Cowboy, a 2-year-old American Bully, lives in a tent near the bay with his best friend, his dad. They’ve been experiencing homelessness since his dad lost his job. Cowboy is more than a pet; he’s a protector and a constant source of comfort.![]()
While on a walk, Cowboy was attacked by another dog, leaving his ear swollen and painful. His dad was heartbroken seeing him suffer and unsure how to pay for treatment.![]()
That’s when he found Feeding Pets of the Homeless.![]()
After a quick intake process, Cowboy was approved for veterinary care. He was hospitalized and underwent minor surgery for an aural hematoma. Now back with his dad, he’s healing well and feeling much better.![]()
Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $1,500 toward Cowboy’s care.![]()
“Thank you for helping take care of my boy! It hurts my heart seeing him in pain and knowing because of my situation that I couldn’t pay the vet bill. I am forever grateful to you and your organization. I will definitely donate once I am back on my feet. God bless!”![]()
