Success Story: Pudge

Hi, my name is Pudge!

I am a 3-year-old Pap/Pom/Chi mix living in my mom and dad’s van in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where we have been experiencing homelessness for a few months, after losing our apartment.

My mom noticed that I stopped acting like myself, my stomach was starting to cause me pain, and I was getting sick more often. I just wanted to lay down and sleep all day, and I couldn’t eat anymore. My mom got so worried that she immediately started researching online for help and came across an organization called Feeding Pets of the Homeless.

Even though she was so upset and panicked, she called ASAP, completed her intake, and did everything she could to complete her verification. We were able to get an appointment with the vet first thing the next morning.

The vet took x-rays and found out that I had a very large bladder stone and needed surgery to have it removed. My surgery went well, and I was starting to feel much better.

Thank you to Feeding Pets of the Homeless for contributing a total of $1,498.60 towards my care!

**A note from my mom: “My husband just called you an angel. You went above and beyond for us and there are no words to show our gratitude. God bless you. Pudge’s Guardian Angel!!! You saved my little girl’s life, and I could never thank you enough. How sweet of you to check up on her. I just took 2 pictures of her which I will send you. As you can see, she’s feeling much better. She even smiled for you! You were amazing and I told her to smile for her Angel so that smile was for you personally!”
