Feeding Pets of the Homeless September 2026 Newsletter

Feeding Pets of the Homeless September 2026 Newsletter

Would you give up your dog for a place to sleep?

For many people experiencing homelessness, the lack of pet-friendly shelter and housing can create an impossible choice.

In our September newsletter, Founder and President Genevieve Frederick reflects on how her journey from helping pets has made her an advocate for the people who love them and why keeping people and their pets together matters.

This month, you’ll also meet Willow, a 3-year-old pit bull and emotional support dog whose dad is a Marine veteran experiencing homelessness. When he discovered a growing tumor on Willow’s neck, Feeding Pets of the Homeless helped connect them with veterinary care and contributed $1,598 toward her treatment.

Plus, we’re celebrating everyone who participated in Give a Dog a Bone Week, sharing a special recognition from the Human Animal Bond Research Institute, welcoming new Pet Food Donation Sites and highlighting more ways you can help pets across the country.

Read the September newsletter and see what your support makes possible.

Thank you for being part of this lifesaving work. Together, we’re making a difference, one paw at a time.
