Even a simple injury can become serious when veterinary care is out of reach.
Hi, my name is Molly.
I’m a 3-year-old Belgian Malinois living in a shelter with my dad. We are currently experiencing homelessness, but we make the most of every day together. I love chasing squirrels, playing ball, and spending time with my dad at the park.
One day, I injured one of my toenails so badly it was barely hanging on. My paw became swollen and infected, and it hurt too much to walk.
My dad was worried and reached out to Street Dogz for advice. They told him I would need veterinary care to remove the damaged nail so a healthy one could grow back. Since he could not afford the procedure, they gave him information about Feeding Pets of the Homeless.
After completing an online application, I was approved for care and scheduled to see a veterinarian.
The doctor took X-rays to make sure I had not broken any bones, then carefully removed my damaged nail. My paw was bandaged and I was given medication to help me heal.
Now I’m recovering with my dad by my side, and I can’t wait to get back to chasing squirrels and playing fetch again.
Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $705 toward my care.
