A woman called Feeding Pets of the Homeless asking for a case manager. She was seeking assistance with us for veterinary services for her 3-year-old blue nose Pitbull, Tyson.
Tyson was showing symptoms of an ear infection and had a blackish/red build-up in his left ear. He was shaking his head constantly, and also had a fever.
An intake had been performed and completed and homeless verification was provided, once that was done Tyson’s case manager was able to get an exam approved with a partner veterinary hospital.
They went to a partner veterinarian in their area and had an exam performed. Tyson did in fact have an ear infection, fortunately not a severe one. The doctor was able to do a cytology test and provided medications and an ear cleaner to keep his ear from getting infected all over again. A re-check was performed 10 days after the first examination.
Feeding Pets of the Homeless was able to give $200 towards the care of Tyson. Tyson is doing so much better now, all thanks to the generous Feeding Pets of the Homeless community and their donations!
