Success Story: Tiny

Dog named Tiny

A woman contacted Feeding Pets of the Homeless about her dog Tiny.  Tiny is her four-year-old female spayed Chihuahua. They had been evacuated in Miami-Dade County due to the flooding of their home.  Tiny’s leg was accidentally fractured during the evacuation.  The Red Cross referred them to Feeding Pets of the Homeless.

Feeding Pets of the Homeless was able to work with the office manager of a Pet Hospital in Miami, FL. They were able to provide us with a 15% discount.  The estimated fracture repair was $3,000.  Feeding Pets of the Homeless was able to provide our maximum pledge for the fracture repair surgery which included pre-surgical exam, labs, IV medications and fluids.

Tiny’s mom was able to obtain funding from another organization to cover additional costs.  Tiny and his owner stayed with family during recovery and as of our last conversation Tiny is doing well.

"From one animal lover to another."
