Success Story: Pickles

Pickles and her human companion have been homeless for nine months living on the streets of San Diego, CA. They are on a list waiting for housing and receive food stamps. Pickles’ companion called Feeding Pets of the Homeless® when his dog, a brown and white spayed female Pit Bull had been limping and not putting weight on her front left paw for the past two months.

We verified he is homeless with his Case Manager and approved an examination at a partner veterinarian hospital. After the examination, the veterinarian recommended blood work and pain medications. We approved this along with updating Pickles’ rabies vaccination. We contributed $150.00 towards Pickles’ care and received $37.50 in discounts.
