Success Story: Poncho

Success Story: Poncho

Hello, my name’s Poncho, and I’m an 8-year-old Chihuahua Mix. My dad and I have been experiencing homelessness in Fullerton, CA, for a little over 5 years now.
My dad noticed how horrible my breath had become. I even started to try to bite at him when he touched my mouth. My dad knew something was wrong. He started to do some research on the internet and came across an organization called Feeding Pets of the Homeless. This organization helps pets and people like me and my dad. So, my dad called and once our homeless verification was provided, we were able to see a vet.
I had a walk-in exam was done and was given some meds. An estimate for a much-needed dental procedure was submitted to Feeding Pets of the Homeless. The estimate was approved, and another appointment was made for my dental surgery. During my dental, I lost 3 teeth, and I’m already feeling much better for it.
Thank you to Feeding Pets of the Homeless and their supporters for contributing a total of $1366 towards my care.
My dad and I would like to thank Feeding Pets of the Homeless for taking care of me. My dad says I’m his life and seeing me no longer in pain makes him the happiest of dads. I even started to play with toys, using my mouth and playing with my dad, which I hadn’t done in a very long time.
Thank you for giving us back my spark!
