A woman currently living in Houston, Texas is a Veteran housed in the HUD-VASH program.
At this time, she is employed and does not receive any other government assistance and has transportation.
She reached out to Feeding Pets of the Homeless for her service animal a 5-year-old Male Pit-bull named Mazi.
Mazi was having some issues urinating so she took him to a vet for an exam. It was determined that Mazi has a total urinary blockage and would need surgery to save his life.
An intake was completed and HUD-VASH verification was provided.
We reached out to a Veterinary Hospital in the area for a surgery estimate. They provided an estimate and we approved.
Surgery was completed on Mazi. Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $2,255 towards Mazi’s surgery
