A man reached out to Feeding Pets of the Homeless for his 10-year-old spayed cat named LC.
He is a very kind and caring veteran who is part of the HUS-VASH program and has been for the past 3 years.
He has been receiving help from an organization to help pay for his rent as he is a very low-income veteran.
LC was unable to eat or drink water properly due to some issues with her teeth and needed x-rays and extractions to be done.
An intake was performed and completed along with his verification for the HUD-VASH program by his Social Worker with the VA Department in Saint Petersburg.
The dental procedure for LC was approved with a local animal hospital.
LC had x-rays performed and had three teeth extractions due to fractures in the teeth, which was causing the lack of being able to ingest foods.
Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $2,000 towards LC’s care. An old-time friend of the veteran stepped in to help cover the $300 that was left of the procedure.
LC is doing much better and is now able to eat, her owner is very thankful for our help and for what we do to help people like him get their pets the care that they need.
