Hello, my name is Hercules. I am a 5-month-old male Pitbull mix and live with my human in a tent in the Fresno, CA area. She has been experiencing homelessness for about 3 years now. My human is currently disabled and gets food stamp assistance.
Recently, I became ill. I was throwing up, lethargic and had watery stools with worms. My owner was told about an organization that helps people like us with their pets. She was worried about me and called right away. After speaking with a Feeding Pets of the Homeless case manager, she was able to quickly have me looked at by a veterinarian. Tests were run and it turned out I had contracted parvovirus.
We were able to get outpatient treatment. My owner was very happy that we were able to get the help needed and I am feeling so much better now. I am back to being my happy self again, running like crazy all over the place.
Feeding Pets of The Homeless contributed $526 to my care.
Parvovirus is a very serious illness for young dogs. Donors like you make it possible for pets like Hercules to receive lifesaving treatment.
