Success Story: Chichi Pan

Hello, my name is Chichi Pan.

I’m a 2-year-old male cat, and life has been a bit challenging for my owner and me lately. We’ve been living in our vehicle, which has become our safe space while navigating homelessness. Even though things are tough, my owner always puts my well-being first.

Not long ago, I started feeling unwell—I couldn’t keep my food down, had some unpleasant tummy troubles, and my ears were bothering me a lot. My owner noticed right away and became very worried. That’s when she reached out for help. The Seattle Homeless Resource Center gave her the contact information for Feeding Pets of the Homeless, and that’s where things started to look up for me.

After my owner completed an intake and homeless verification with one of their kind case managers, I was approved to visit a veterinarian. At the vet, I got my ears cleaned (what a relief!), and they ran some tests to figure out what was wrong. They even sent us home with the medications I needed to feel better.

Feeding Pets of the Homeless covered $486 of my care, and I’m feeling so much better now! I’m grateful for their support and for my owner, who never gave up on me. Together, we’re hanging on and looking forward to brighter days ahead.

Donate today to continue to keep pets and their people together.
