Hi, I’m Baby.
I’m an 11-year-old Chihuahua mix, and I live under a bridge with my mom. We’ve been experiencing homelessness ever since we lost my dad to COVID-19. He was our provider, and when he passed, everything changed.
We’ve been surviving one day at a time ever since. I’m my mom’s emotional support animal, and she’s my whole world. We keep each other going.
One day, while we were out on a walk, I was attacked by another dog. It was bad. My left eye was hanging out of its socket. My mom was devastated. She didn’t know how she would ever afford to get me help.
She searched online and found Feeding Pets of the Homeless. After a phone interview, I was approved for emergency veterinary care.
At the animal hospital, they put me under anesthesia and removed my injured eye. I was given pain medicine and antibiotics to help me heal.
Now I’m back with my mom, safe and recovering. I may only have one eye, but I still have my whole heart, and it belongs to her.
Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $989 toward my care.
Please consider donating to help pets like me stay with the people who love us the most, even when life gets hard.
