Ivory, an 8 year old spayed female calico and tabby mix lives in the woods in a tent for the past month in Baltimore, MD with her female homeless owner.
Ivory was crying in pain and vomiting when her owner called, also in search of food for her cat. POTH paid for an examination and luckily the veterinarian found nothing wrong with Ivory. Perhaps she is having troubles adjusting to living in a tent. Her owner mentioned they were moving next week in with a friend.
Nickey’s owner, same owner as Ivory called on September 14, 2015 that she wound up not moving in with a friend, and was now in the hospital. She had a seizure in her tent in the woods on Friday and almost died. Her dog, Nickey, a 3 year old female Labrador retriever, is her Service Dog and is in the hospital now with her, with a red spot on her eye. Pets of the Homeless paid to get Nickey’s vaccinations current, an exam and some Ophthalmic eye ointment.
Nickey’s owner also mentioned she doesn’t know who is feeding her cat Ivory now. She left her food at the tent and she has heard someone took her tent down. A recent storm has her worried about Ivory and her whereabouts and if she is eating.
