A boy cradling a puppy in the palm of his hand needed to find a home for the pup, and soon.  Rebecca Michael approached him with $20 in her pocket. Half went to the boy, and the other half went to puppy chow.  She didn’t have much else, but she made due. She installed a makeshift crate in her grocery cart, buried beneath all her belongings.
