Each year, official counts miss thousands of people who are experiencing homelessness with their pets. Those living in cars, moving between temporary places, or avoiding shelters because they cannot bring their animals are often unseen, but their needs are real.![]()

Through a recent grant, Feeding Pets of the Homeless provided pet carriers and crates to support CASA Pinellas’ onsite kennel, helping ensure survivors of domestic violence can access protection and resources without being separated from the animals they love. For shelters that welcome pets alongside their people, this kind of support helps remove barriers and strengthen safe, compassionate spaces.![]()
Our goal is to ensure more organizations have the resources they need to serve both people and their pets.![]()
If your shelter or organization welcomes pets and serves individuals experiencing crisis or housing insecurity, we encourage you to apply for a Feeding Pets of the Homeless grant.![]()
