Feedback from Donors and Homeless

“I think that homeless people should have pets as they do help with depression and other issues that arise from being homeless. Just because a pet is ‘owned’ by a homeless person doesn’t mean they do not deserve the same care that any pet does. I am so glad for this program I looked at many related to pets and found this one closest to my heart.”

“Giving to the most in need is an amazing feeling!!”

“These poor innocent animals didn’t chose to live with someone who was — or became — unable to care for them. I’m able to afford veterinary care for my animals and i STILL get SO upset when something’s wrong with them — I can’t imagine how upsetting it must be for homeless people to be unable to get help for their dear pets when they need it. That is why I help. I live modestly (no cable, cheapest cell phone possible, make coffee at home, 19 year old car, etc.) and give as much as I can to ease the suffering of others who have it a lot worse than I do.”

“People look down on homeless people with pets, but if I was ever homeless I would want my little buddies with me for security and comfort.”

“I feel for those people who are homeless, yet find it in their hearts to give comfort and sustenance to a homeless cat or dog. There’s a great deal of need there. Both the human and the animal are in tough straits and need all the help they can get.”

“This is such a worthwhile project! it is a mutually beneficial arrangement. Sadly the homeless are in the street but having the animals as companions and someone to take care of I think prevents the total isolation. Pets need someone to take care of them and they are loyal companions. I hope you can help as many animals as possible”

“Pets never ask for the circumstances they end up in. It is up to us to help where we can. They can’t speak for themselves and they need all the help, support and love we can provide. I don’t have a lot of money to give, but I help when I can.”
