Feeding Pets of the Homeless is hosting its first ever Give a Dog a Bone Pet Food Drive & Charity Concert at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall.
On March 11th, take part in what is sure to be an instant classic. Indulge the timeless craft of songwriting, while lending a helping hand to the less fortunate.
This one-of-a-kind event features the artistry of world-class regional and local performers The Sam Chase, Greg Gilmore, and Rachael McElhiney.
The homeless with pets are often desperate to find a shelter to go to that will allow their pets. They seek help to find an agency that will give them pet food. They are frantic to find emergency veterinary care for injuries or illnesses. 3.5 million Americans are homeless and five to ten percent of homeless people have dogs and/or cats. In some areas of the country the rate is as high as 24%. Feeding Pets of the Homeless seeks to alleviate some of the already harsh pressures faced by those in need, by helping their furry friends in need.
BAC regulars will remember The Sam Chase from his Levitt AMP appearance with Loud As Folk in 2021.
Pre-Sale tickets are available for just $20, or $17 for seniors and BAC members. Day of show tickets will be available at the door for $25.
6pm Reception, 7pm Concert

I wanted to share that love with everyone in a way where we could all give a little back to human-kind’s most tried and true friendship.” – Greg Gilmore

Meet the Artists

The Sam Chase has a voice like a Nun on the lam with a mouthful cigarettes and curse words in a lonely bar, drunkenly dancing next to a broken jukebox. His songs are scribbled, not written, on lipstick and sweat stained motel bedsheets because he likes the way the ink bleeds. His guitar runs on diesel and leaks like the morning after too much Whiskey. His is a show you’ll probably want to tattoo on your body so everyone will know that you knew him before he was cool.

Greg Gilmore is a bit like a caption of a time gone, but not forgotten. A self-taught, nationally touring troubadour bearing a self-lit torch informed by the rock’n’roll and songwriting days of yore. With influences from Jackson Browne to Willie Nelson, Tom Petty to Roy Orbison, Gilmore attempts to apply his own kindling to a smoldering flame.

Rachael McElhiney’s laugh can take over a room. And if you’re fortunate, you know that her songs can do the same – in fact, McElhiney’s conversational songwriting coupled with her quiet mastery of saxophone and ukulele has recently cemented her as a darling of the Reno music scene. The best part? She’s just getting started.
