An advocate (Lori and Shira) for a homeless woman who lives at the river bottom in Riverside, CA called to ask if Pets of the Homeless would help with a 3 month old Chihuahua puppy that looked like it had a dislocated jaw. Pets of the Homeless assisted with an examination, x-rays, surgery and pain medications to mend what turned out to be a broken jaw. POTH paid the maximum assistance allowable, and the veterinarian waived the remaining balance. Artimisia had her sutures removed and is now wearing a muzzle for a month to straighten out her jaw.
