PetSmart Gives Back

Carson City, NV – PetSmart’s Greg Takeuchi, District Manager, awarded Pets of the Homeless a $2,500 grant towards their Emergency Veterinary Care for Pets of the Homeless program. Judy Umfress, Operation Manager and Thomas Washington, Sparks PetSmart Manager, nominated Pets of the Homeless. Renee Lowry and Genevieve Frederick from Pets of the Homeless accepted the check. Pets of the Homeless is the only national animal organization focused completely on feeding and providing emergency veterinary care to pets of the homeless. Since 2011, Northern Nevada PetSmart stores and warehouse have donated over 74 tons of dog and cat food through the Pets of the Homeless agency, most going to St. Vincent Food Bank in downtown Reno, NV.
