Hi, my name is Beavis.![]()
I'm a 6-year-old Pit Bull living in a vehicle with my mom. She rescued me after I was abandoned in the woods when I was younger, and we've been attached at the hip ever since. We're best friends, supporting each other as we navigate homelessness and work toward a more stable situation.![]()
Recently, my mom noticed I was having trouble eating and my breath had become much stronger than usual. When she looked inside my mouth, she found a broken canine tooth and saw that my gums were swollen and bleeding. As my appetite started to disappear, she knew I needed veterinary care.![]()
My mom immediately started searching for help. That's when she found Feeding Pets of the Homeless. After completing an application, I was approved to see a veterinarian.![]()
Dental X-rays showed that I had dental disease and a painful broken tooth. During my dental cleaning, the veterinarian found three teeth that needed to be removed. Thankfully, they were able to take care of everything during the same procedure.![]()
Now I can eat without pain, my appetite is back, and I'm feeling like myself again. My mom and I have one less thing to worry about as we continue moving forward together.![]()
Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $1,120 toward my care.![]()
A message from my mom:![]()
"I am writing to express my deepest and most heartfelt gratitude for your incredible generosity. When you offered to cover the cost of Beavis's tooth extraction, you lifted a huge weight off my shoulders, and I cannot thank you enough.![]()
Beavis means the world to me, and knowing that he is now comfortable, healthy, and out of pain because of your kindness brings me more relief than words can say. Please know that I appreciate your support more than you will ever know. ![]()
Your compassion and willingness to step in for Beavis is something I will truly never forget. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your selfless act of love and kindness."![]()
Your support helps pets like me get the veterinary care we need and stay with the people who love us most.![]()
