Find a Pet Food Donation Site

Our pet food donation site volunteers support our objective of collecting pet food and pet supplies. They are working with pet food providers who have agreed to distribute pet food in those communities.

Make a Donation

Your donation can make the lives of these pets a little easier. Each day is a struggle for those experiencing homelessness, and their pets have little recourse. We are their voice, and you can be their hero.

Become a Sponsor

If providing support for pets of the homeless and ensuring access to emergency veterinary care is important to your company or organization, please consider sponsoring Feeding Pets of the Homeless. As a dedicated nonprofit organization, we rely on grants, sponsors, and donations to help pets in need across the nation.  Importantly, we do not receive any government funding, so your support is crucial.

Evidence shows that animal companionship is fortifying and contributes to the emotional well-being of people experiencing homelessness, including encouraging owners to obtain sobriety, leave abusive relationships, and avoid incarceration.

We have a really special letter to share with you from Jax's owner. First, read Jax's story: Hi, I’m Jax.I’m a 1-year-old Labradoodle, and I live with my mom in a motel. We’ve been here together for a while - doing our best to get by.One day, I was doing something I love… chasing a bird. But then I tripped and landed hard on my front leg. It swelled up fast, and I could barely walk. It really hurt. My mom was so worried and she didn’t know what to do.She found Feeding Pets of the Homeless online, and everything changed. After talking with a case manager, they got me in to see a veterinarian right away.At the clinic, I got X-rays, lab work, wound care, injections, medications and even a splint to help my leg heal. They gave me an e-collar too, which I wasn’t thrilled about but it helped me stay safe while I recovered.A week later, I had to go back to get my splint changed. Then again the next week for another adjustment and more pain meds. But thanks to all that care, I’m healing and back by my mom’s side where I belong.💙 Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $1,398 to help me recover.Thank you for helping me get back on my paws again!-------------------------------------------This is why your support matters:Dear Pets of the Homeless Team, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the financial assistance you provided in 2022 for my dog, Jax, when he tragically broke his arm. Your support was an absolute blessing, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without your kindness. At the time, Jax’s injury was not only physically painful for him but emotionally overwhelming for me as well. Being a pet owner, it’s hard to see your beloved companion in pain, and the financial burden of medical care felt insurmountable. Your assistance made it possible for me to get Jax the treatment he needed and for us to navigate through that difficult time. Thanks to you, Jax made a full recovery and is back to his happy, energetic self. Every time I see him running around and wagging his tail, I am reminded of the impact your organization has had on our lives. You not only helped a dog in need but also provided me with peace of mind during a challenging moment. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring about animals and for being there for those of us who struggle. Your generosity means more than words can express. I will always be grateful for your support and will continue to share the word about the wonderful work you do.With sincere thanks and warmest regards,Jax's Mom ... See MoreSee Less
