Success Story: Colby

Success Story: Colby

Tucker* has been living on the streets of San Francisco for the past 5 years.
He is disabled but doesn’t receive disability at this time. He receives food stamps and uses public transportation to get around.
Tucker reached out to Feeding Pets of the Homeless for his 3-year-old Pitbull, Colby.
Colby had hot spots on the side of his face and blisters on his ear. The wounds were bleeding and infected and needed help for them to heal.
An intake was completed, and homeless verification was provided.
Their Feeding Pets of the Homeless Case Manager found a partner veterinary hospital in their area to provide an exam and wound care. After examining Colby’s situation, the veterinarian prescribed medications for pain and infection to be given.
The total cost for Colby’s care was $638.

"From one animal lover to another."
