(Carson City, NV) – Pets of the Homeless, the only national animal organization focused solely on feeding and providing emergency veterinary care to pets of homeless people, is excited to welcome two new team members, Afton Perkins and Robin Meyer.

Perkins is the new social media coordinator for Pets of the Homeless. She is responsible for monitoring and engaging on all Pets of the Homeless social media channels. Her responsibilities also include managing social media strategy and curating content for social media.

Robin Meyer is the new volunteer coordinator for Pets of the Homeless. She brings her experience as an enrichment director, previously acting as a liaison between families and the community to enhance the quality and efficiency of resident support programs at a local senior living facility. Meyer also brings 23 years of experience as an owner and manager of a successful veterinary clinic. She will be the direct contact for our network partner volunteers, donation sites and pet food providers.

In addition, Pets of the Homeless announces that the previous Volunteer Coordinator, Maia Finholm, has been promoted to case manager. Finholm’s new roll involves taking emergency veterinary case calls.
