2020 COVID-19 FAQ

Out of concern for the health and wellness of our volunteers, donation and pet food provider sites, and community partners due to COVID-19, we are currently suspending these volunteer efforts:

  • Community outreach
  • Drop-offs to Provider/Distribution Sites
  • Collecting pet food and supplies
  • Recruiting new Donation Sites
  • Volunteer services at our headquarters in Carson City, NV

Our staff has communicated via email with our volunteers, Donation and Pet Food Provider Sites, and our Community Veterinary Partners regarding this matter. We are working to ensure continuous operations to help treat emergency cases as they arise, and to provide ongoing communications to all stakeholders.

In the event we need to work remotely, we are making the following preparations to ensure the continuation of the services that your generous contributions help us to provide:

  • Our IT team is working with each of our team members for offsite access to files and communications tools
  • Created a FAQ document for our website
  • Crafted social media posts for all platforms to distribute information
  • Communicated with all of our volunteers, Donation and Pet Food Provider Sites, and Community Veterinary Partners

Many of your questions may be answered by viewing our FAQs below. Please contact Renee Lowry, Executive Director, at info@petsofthehomeless.org with any additional questions.
