Despite facing immense challenges, our client, who has been homeless for two years in Los Angeles, found the strength to reach out for help. His beloved Chihuahua, Lola, was suffering from a condition called “cherry eye.” This is a condition where the third eyelid gland becomes inflamed and prolapses.
Thanks to a friend’s recommendation, the owner discovered Feeding Pets of the Homeless and reached out to us for support. Our team quickly completed an intake and he provided homeless verification. We were able to approve treatment and spaying for Lola with a local veterinary partner in the Los Angeles area.
Through the generous contributions of donors like you, Feeding Pets of the Homeless was able to provide $1047 towards Lola’s care. This helped cover the costs of her exam, treatment, surgery, spay and medication to address her condition.
We are thrilled to have made a difference in Lola’s life and brought joy to her owner. We received a message of gratitude from him, which said, “Thanks so much for your help! I’m excited to see Lola without the cherry eye!”
