Clara* lives in Orange CA and has been homeless for about eight years. She lives out of her broken-down vehicle. Clara does not live alone in her vehicle; she also has a thirteen-year-old Chihuahua named Bruiser and a seven-year-old Daschund-Beagle named Cider.
Bruiser is neutered and current on all his vaccinations.
She contacted us to get help for Bruiser who was experiencing sneezing, coughing and drainage in the throat.
Her case manager needed to get her homeless verification and Clara was quick to provide her information.
Her case manager approved an appointment with a Partner Veterinary Hospital in a nearby city.
The veterinarian determined Bruiser needed a dental procedure. We pre-approved Bruiser for the surgery.
On the day of the appointment, Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $362 towards Bruiser’s care which included, extractions, pre-anesthesia, injections, antibiotics, catheter and medications.
Clara also received help from another small organization for Bruiser’s dental procedure.
We are so happy to hear Bruiser is doing better now.
