Pets of the Homeless received a call from a homeless veteran gentleman who li v es o n the streets of San Diego, CA with his 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Sammy. He was concerned because Sammy was vomiting blood and might have an ea r infection. We approved an emergency examination.

After the examination, it was determined that Sammy was very sick and needed to be hospitalized. Sammy had pneumonia. A concern was that Sammy may have blood in his lungs.
