A veteran living in a shelter in Largo, FL with his 7 month old puppy “Junior” had a broken front leg.  He said Junior was playing and might have stepped in a hole, not putting weight on it.  The gentleman made him a homemade splint (see photo below).

Pets of the Homeless paid for an exam, pain injection, xrays and medications.  Junior was diagnosed with a radial fracture.  Doctor wants to recheck weekly to replace splint and to recheck xray in 30 days.  There is evidence of bad blood flow in smaller breeds but potential of plate growing back together because Junior is so young.

The homeless man called and said, “Thank you, there are kind people out there that want to help us and our dog.  Thank you Jesus, thank you so much.”
