A homeless woman who lives in a women’s shelter in Tacoma, WA called POTH about her two miniature pinschers, Jake, age 11, and Elwood, age 13. Jake and Elwood are her service animals and they were having problems with their teeth.
POTH assisted with both dogs who had a number of teeth extracted. Oral surgery included sedation medications, blood work, IV fluids, nerve blocks, pain and antibiotic medications.
