Steve’s dog Chili, a seven year old neutered terrier mix, was attacked by another animal in a canyon. Steve, a homeless man, in San Diego, CA lives in someone’s backyard. He was referred to POTH by the San Diego Humane Society.
Chili had a one inch gash on the side of his leg and a puncture wound on the side of his head. His owner is not sure if he was attacked maybe by a raccoon or a coyote.
Pets of the Homeless paid for an exam, surgery for the laceration repair, pain medications and antibiotics. Chili also needed a rabies vaccination which POTH paid for.
