Baby Girl’s owner, David lives in Stafford, TX in a basement with no running water. Baby Girl, a pit bull Labrador mix was hit by a car and broke her hind leg beyond repair.
One of our collection sites, Jurrassic Bark Rescue, in Missouri City, TX reached out to us via Facebook asking for help with amputation surgery costs. Pets of the Homeless contributed $500 towards the surgery.
Baby Girl was up and walking within hours of the amputation.
David broke down in tears when he was reunited with his Baby Girl.
He was so grateful that he and his roommate wanted to help out and went over to the collection site and helped organize donations.
Dogs bounce back unbelievably after amputations and live out the rest of their lives as if nothing happened. We were happy to be able to contribute towards Baby Girl’s survival.
