Success Story: Eris

Success Story: Eris

A woman is homeless living in a RV in San Luis Obispo, CA.  She is participating in the Sober Living Residency Program and we verified her homelessness with her case worker.  She is employed and has been homeless for the past 5 years.  Her dog, Eris, a 9-year old spayed female Pit Bull mix had an infection in her paw.  Her friend told her about Feeding Pets of the Homeless.  We approved an examination at a partner animal hospital.
After the exam, the veterinarian recommended sedation to look for a foxtail, as well as cleaning her ears, an ear cytology, skin scrape, ear cleanser, ear ointment, oral antibiotics, pain management, flea meds, e-collar, basic in-house bloodwork and a bandage.  We approved this treatment in the amount of $738 and received $82 in discounts.  A foxtail was removed from Eris’ foot and she also was treated for an ear infection.

"From one animal lover to another."
