Pets of the Homeless received a telephone call from a friend of a homeless man who stays in a park by the Truckee river in Reno, NV about his dog “Fat Head,” a 2-year-old neutered male Staffordshire Terrier. The man was too distraught to talk to us, so we gathered information from his friend.

Fat Head was by his guardian’s side while he was fishing in the river and a fishhook accidentally landed between his inner thigh and genital area.  The fishhook was removed, but Fat Head had a severe skin laceration in the surrounding area.
