Success Story “Bullet”

Pets of the Homeless received a call from a homeless woman who lives in the river bottom in a tent in Riverside, CA about her 5 ½ year old male Pit Bull Terrier, Bullet.  Bullet had been attacked by coyotes and one of his toes was hanging off.  We approved an examination.

The veterinarian needed to amputate Bullet’s toe.  He also had a bite wound that needed to be cleaned up.  Pets of the Homeless assisted with hospitalization, anesthesia, surgery to remove his toe, antibiotics and cleaning and bandaging the bite wound.

Lori Rich with “Taking it to the Streets with Lori and Shira” with the help of their donors put Bullet and his guardian in a motel for a few nights while Bullet recovered from surgery.
