Success Story: Snoopy

Success Story: Snoopy

Sandra* has been homeless in Chico, CA for the past 7 years. She lives under a bridge and does not have transportation or income. She is receiving food stamps.
Sandra contacted Feeding Pets of the Homeless for her 3-year-old ridgeback mix, Snoopy. She was unsure what happened to Snoopy but suspected that he had been hit by a car. He was unable to walk and was crying out in pain.
An intake was completed, and homeless verification was provided.
Once approved for care, the case manager went to work to find a Partner Veterinary Hospital to get Snoopy seen. Snoopy and his mom got to the veterinary hospital where they conducted an exam that included x-rays and bloodwork. Snoopy’s owner was relieved when the veterinarian concluded Snoopy did not have any broken bones and provided him with pain meds to help him feel better.
Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $1,062 towards Snoopy’s care.
