Success Story – Clancy

Pets of the Homeless received a call from a man who has been homeless living in his camper truck for 3 years. He is a veteran who parks his camper behind a store in Carson City, NV. The man’s huge lovable Black Lab, Clancy is 5 years old and hasn’t been feeling well. Clancy was losing weight, straining to urinate and was extremely lethargic. We authorized an exam at a participating network veterinarian. They got a quick diagnosis of bladder stones. Clancy’s case was extreme and urgent. We authorized surgery for the bladder stones, pre-surgery lab work, IV fluids, medications, sedation, and x-rays. Pets of the Homeless contributed $771.16 to Clancy’s care and our vet partner offered $185.67 in discounted services including a free nail trim and ear exam. The man called to let us know that Clancy is up to his usual antics and feels much better.

"From one animal lover to another."
