Meet Billy
Billy is a 2-month-old PomChi mix living in a car with his dad and another dog in San Francisco. When Billy suddenly stopped using one of his legs, his dad reached out to Feeding Pets of the Homeless for help. An urgent exam and X-rays showed that Billy had a broken leg. He was treated with a splint and given medication, and after some rest, he returned to his playful self. Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $1,018 toward Billy’s care.

Meet Frances
Frances is a 9-year-old Terrier mix whose guardian, a veteran, noticed she needed updated vaccines and was infested with fleas. After being referred by her VA social worker, she contacted Feeding Pets of the Homeless for assistance. Once intake was completed, Frances visited a veterinarian who confirmed the flea infestation and tested her for heartworms. Her test was negative, and she received updated vaccines along with flea and heartworm prevention. Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $255 toward her care.

Meet Misty
Misty is an 11-year-old pit bull living with her owner in a recovery shelter. When she began crying, itching, and shaking her head, her owner suspected an ear infection and called Feeding Pets of the Homeless. Misty received an exam, an ear flush, and antibiotics. A few weeks later, she was attacked by another dog during a walk and required additional care. She received pain injections, wound care, and medication. Misty is now healing and back with her owner. Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed a total of $1,174 toward her care.

Your donation can provide a homeless pet with food and get them the emergency veterinary care they so badly need. Especially now as the winter nights begin to take hold. These companion animals are sometimes the only ones people experiencing homelessness have to provide them with unconditional love.
