Success Story “Ramen”

Pets of the Homeless received a call from a homeless woman who lives in a shelter in San Diego, CA with her dog, Ramen, a 2-month-old Pit Bull Terrier puppy.  Ramen had bloody diarrhea, was vomiting and not eating.   We approved an examination.

After a thorough examination, we approved a parvo test and it was negative.  A fecal exam showed that Ramen had intestinal parasites and giardia.  We provided financial assistance with treatment including, iv catheter and fluids, dewormer and injections, as well as liquid medications.
